Environmental impact
The Metrolink is going to be cutting its way through West Didsbury very soon. This long preserved wildlife corridor that supports a diverse range of wildlife will now doubt be devastated by this colossal construction project. For many years residents along Lapwing Lane have enjoyed the sights and sounds of fox cubs, bats, owls and other rare birds which will soon be replaced the the near 24 hour trundle of trains. The changing face of West Didsbury
Lapwing Lane is going to be stepping up a gear with the arrival of the Metrolink. We can only predict the impact it will have at this stage but the signs are there already that the world around West Didsbury will be getting a little bit smaller.
